Over the month of August on Sunday mornings here at Grace we have looked at different Biblical examples of individuals who faced personal temptation. David – 2 Samuel 11
· A lesson in rising demand
· A lack of routine disciplines
· A look of riveting desire
· A lowering into revealing discussion
· A leap into runaway delight
Last Sunday morning Pastor Tim led in concluding our Just Say NO message series on temptation by looking at the example of Daniel found in Daniel 1. Throughout the month we also took the time to memorize as a church the same verse from Scripture. It is our hope that this corporate exercise will unable each of us to be more equipped to say NO to temptation as it rears its ugly head in our lives:
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
