Gaylord Evangelical Free Church (E-Free) is now on Facebook. If you have a Facebook account, simply type in Gaylord E-Free and you will find us. Just hit "LIKE" and you will be set. This is a great way to stay connected to all that God is doing here at E-Free in meeting people where they are at and helping to move them to where God wants them to be. Pastor Joe Sereno, Joshua Rupp, and Matt Jenkins are our 3 staff members who are serving as administrators for our Facebook page.
Speaking of Facebook, as of now I do not have an active Facebook account under my name. Once, I tried to set one up and couldn't figure out what I was doing. However, I did enough right that I started getting hundreds of "friend requests" that I had no idea what to do with - so I ignored them all. So if you were one of the many who made a "friend request" to me and heard no reply - it isn't because I don't like you. It was simply because I am very ignorant when it comes to electronic technology.
So that brings up the question of the day - Do you think I should officially join Facebook? If yes, WHY? If no, WHY NOT?
Leave me a comment giving me your opinion!
oh man...you are going to get comments now!
ReplyDeleteYES! Facebook is an excellent tool. Everyone is so busy these days that it's difficult to remain connected with each other. Facebook allows me to keep in touch with my family members and friends in ways that I never could otherwise. Do I think you should join Facebook? Absolutely! Relationships are my primary reason.
ReplyDeleteFound your Facebook page... Since you already updated your photo and info, you may as well use it! I think your congregation would love to get your updates throughout the day, including links to articles, etc. that you want to share. I learn a lot from other pastors who post on Facebook... Rick Warren, John MacArthur, and Chuck Swindoll just to name a few. Join in! (You can even post links to your favorite Keith Green songs, you know!). ;)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! It would be wonderful to connect with you through facebook. Think of it as your blog on steroids! LoL

PS. Welcome to the 21st century! :D
sure... why not... I have one, but I really don't place much info on it during the year. Jeanne & I enjoy the up-dates from "most" our "friends", although we are pretty choosy who we accept (but we would accept you :-).
ReplyDeleteScott, I think you should get a Facebook account, brother!:) You're an awesome encouragement!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice. Jury is still out!
ReplyDeleteHey Scott
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in high school, we had a Swedish exchange student who lived at our house for a year. We have stayed in touch all these years. She has a family and her kids are on Facebook as well as her husband (my Swedish sister is not). I use google translate to communicate with her kids IN SWEDISH! Megan, our 13 year old, shares an intersted in horses with their 13 year old. She saw me writing to them in Swedish and now Megan communicates with them in Swedish. You can now communicate in almost ANY language to everyone in the world from your black bear infested backyard. The bible is the most translated book ever published! WOW! Just think how this could work. 11Ибо написано: живу Я, говорит Господь, предо Мною преклонится всякое колено, и всякий язык будет исповедывать Бога. From Russian to Gaylord!
That is Awesome!
